Link with IOKitting

XR Kitting can import kitting scenes made with the IOKitting tool.

This feature allows you to begin from the optimize implantation offered by IOKitting and to complete it, to then simulate it.

Scenes Import

To import a IOKitting scene, go to the Scene/Import JSON Scene.

The switching file from IOKitting to XR Kitting is a. json format.

When importing, if missing elements in libraries are detected, a repair scene will be suggested to the user to replace the missing parts by parts of the same type available in the library.

Description of the repair scene

To fix a missing element, select it in the hierarchy. On the right, in the library space, the same type elements appeared. Drag and drop one of these elements on the missing element to replace it. The visual check will go green.

When all the missing elements are replaced, click on « back » to go back to the edition of the scene.

The scene is fixed!

Note

Importing a IOKitting scene will replace the current scene!
